SUMMARY:
The vast majority of mankind goes through life never finding the answer to “Why am I here”?
The Books of Genesis & Revelation tell us macrocosmic stories of man’s symbolic beginning and end. But the Truth isn’t what’s on the surface but what’s buried beneath. In the English dictionary, the words exoteric and esoteric mean “what’s known to the masses” and “what’s known to only a small group” respectively. However, esoteric originally comes from the Greek word esoterikos in which ikos means “pertaining to” and eso means “inner or within” thus denoting that which is gained from within or one who goes within. I purposely use the word esoteric in double-meaning to suggest “spiritual knowledge from within only known to a small group.” This is the secret knowledge to creating the life you seek & appreciating every step of the journey!
This “going within” is a universal concept within all religions. It is the ignorance of this commonality that causes disunity. All true religions have sought to encourage man to become more than just the limited perception of the selfish ego. From Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Sufism, Taoism, Judaism and Christianity we’ve been given the principles of self-control, self-knowledge, ethical conduct, cultivation of wisdom, submission, devotion, worship, compassion, yoga, attunement to nature, respect for life and the ultimate examples of love and sacrifice. Even the skepticism of the Atheist has value when it comes to the search for Truth; one only needs to know where to search. It is this “going within” that the primary figures of all faiths advocated and yet it is this true message that is continuously overlooked. God wants us to seek Him from within our hearts - not just from another person’s words.
This book, therefore, attempts to take the macrocosmic and bring it down to the microcosmic level of the individual to help you come to understand the true meaning of “Know Thyself!” We will explore the spiritual purpose of man and our relationship with the Source. The “Journey of the Soul” series will gradually take you through the seven symbolic days of creation in Genesis as it pertains to man, the seven levels of consciousness throughout the experience of Life and the seven unveilings of man in Revelation towards ultimate union with God. The purpose of this book is not just for intellectual debate but rather to assist the sincere seeker on the journey towards Realization.
